Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of turning the proposed land survey into a party affairs by involving MPs and legislators of only TRS party.

Addressing a press conference, along with MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, at Assembly Media Point on Monday, Shabbir Ali said that the Chief Minister was doing some foul play in the name of land survey in view of 2019 elections. He said that the Chief Minister should convene an all party meeting and also conduct a special session of Telangana Assembly and Council to discuss the modalities and procedures of proposed land survey. He said that the survey should fool-proof as it could expose corruption and scams in the land allotments. He also demanded that the TRS Government should first make the Intensive Household Survey public, which was conducted in August 2014, before taking up land survey.

Shabbir Ali also raised doubts on the authenticity of the proposed land survey. He asked as to how the State Government could conduct a survey while there were no surveyors in many mandals.

He also said that KCR's prediction of TRS winning 100 seats in next Assembly election is completely baseless and misleading. He said almost 90% of TRS MLAs, including those who defected from Congress and other parties, were not happy with KCR and his family members. Therefore, in order to deny them a ticket in next elections, he is preparing ground by citing surveys on their 'non-performance', he said adding that almost 90% of sitting MLAs and MPs would not get TRS ticket in 2019 elections.

Meanwhile, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy accused TRS Government of completely neglecting the welfare of Tribals in the State.
