The programme was held under the aegis of the Ekalavya Foundation.Dattatreya expressed concern over farmers incurring severe losses due to usage of chemical fertilisers and advised them to switch over to organic fertilisers as it would cut down their input costs. At the same time, the use of organic fertilisers would multiply their revenue, he said.

The minister lauded the training programmes in organic cultivation being conducted in an extent of 104 acres by Venugopal Reddy Foundation. Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavita said that she would take up the issue of establishing an exclusive board for red gram cultivators on the floor of the Lok Sabha.

She desired that the Ekalavya Foundation activities should spread to all over the country. Lok Sabha members Sarveswar Reddy and Gangaraju, Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, BJP Vikarabad district president Prahlada Rao and BJP leader Baddam Balreddy were present at the programme.
