Hyderabad: Heavy rain of 12 to 20 cm is likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State on August 28 and 29, the Met department warned on Sunday. The met bulletin said a low-pressure area is likely to form during the next 24 hours under the influence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over the north-west Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-west Bengal coast.

According to the bulletin, Satuday’s upper air cyclonic circulation over north-east Madhya Pradesh and its neighborhood has merged with monsoon trough. The trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema is persisting.

Heavy rain occurred at isolated places across the State during the last 24 hours, as the south-west monsoon was
normal.

The rain occurred at many places in Warangal, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts. Bhupalpalle (Warangal), Kothagudem (Warangal) and Doma (Ranga Reddy) recorded seven, six and five cm of rainfall respectively.
