Hyderabad: State Tribal Welfare Department (STWD) has decided to rope in prominent organisation, Panacea, to ensure better medical services to the students in Tribal Welfare Schools and Hostels.

Tribal Welfare Secretary Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka held discussions with the representatives of the Panacea on the steps to be taken to improve medical services to the students. As part of the move, health supervisors from the organisation will visit every tribal school, college and hostel in the State and conduct screening tests.

Based on the data obtained from screening tests, steps will be taken to refer students identified with ailments for treatment. The data will be updated every month. He said that the department officials in coordination with the health supervisors would update the data online and address health problems of the tribal students in the State.
