Hyderabad: With an aim to create awareness on eye donations and developing infrastructure to serve the needy people, an NGO, ‘Saksham’, along with the State government would organise a blind fold 2K walk ‘Sight-A-Thon 2017’ (Stride for Sight) at the Necklace Roads here on Sunday.

Union Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatraya and Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud would be chief guests on the occasion. President of Saksham and cardiologist Dr Ved Prakash, Secretary N Karunakar and Cornea Andhatv Mukth Bharat Abhiyan (CAMBA) national project director Dr K Santosh released a poster during a press conference here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ved Prakash said that there were many people suffering from blindness right from the time of their birth or because of cornea problems. Eye donation was the only way to bring back eye sight to such people, he added.
