BJP will take up ‘Telangana Vimochana Yatra’ from September 1 to 7 demanding the government to celebrate the ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ on September 17 officially.
Hyderabad: BJP will take up ‘Telangana Vimochana Yatra’ from September 1 to 7 demanding the government to celebrate the ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ on September 17 officially.
The Yatra will start on September 1 after paying tributes to the Martyrs’ memorial at Gun Park. The yatra would pass through the villages, which had witnessed the atrocities committed by Razakars during the Nizam rule said BJP leader G Kishan Reddy while releasing poster at a press conference here on Tuesday.
Kishan Reddy said that the BJP has been raising the demand to celebrate Liberation Day even before the Telangana agitation. He said that the BJP would not leave the issue until the government takes up celebrations officially and if it fails, the BJP would celebrate it officially.
Kishan Reddy said that the Central leaders including Union Ministers would attend the yatra. He said that the government would have to face severe consequences if it tries to stop or halt the yatra.
