Hyderabad: The Commissionerate and Directorate of Municipal Administration (CDMA), the apex organisation of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, has directed the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to provide services within a time frame. The CDMA has recently launched online services in all ULBs.

The CDMA recently issued a circular directing the Heads of the ULBs to take steps to adhere to the Citizen’s Charter finalised by the CDMA. Citizen Centres were also formed to help the applicants get assistance and ensure their work is done.

A senior official told The Hans India that it was taking some time for the ULBs to adapt to the online system. As per the charter, the sanction/disposal of applications pertaining to the trade license should be completed within 15 days. The applicant can approach Municipal Health Officer/Licensing Officer/ Assistant Medical and Health Officer if licence is not issued within the time frame. The renewal of the trade license should be completed within seven days of making applications.

The official said in the case of assessment of property tax and allocation of door numbers, the official should clear the application within 15 days at the Revenue Officer level and if the work is not done the applicant can approach Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner.

For certified copy of assessment register the time given is seven days at Revenue Officer/ Valuation Officer and if the work is not done the applicant can represent to the Commissioner. For disposal of water supply connection 15 days would be given and the applicant can approach Assistant Engineer in case of delay in providing the water connection. For water supply pipe lines leakages one-day is sufficient.
