GHMC chief inspects works in South Zone

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday inspected various areas of South Zone in the city along with the Zonal Commissioner and other senior officials.

The Commissioner inspected Chandrayangutta flyover and directed the officials to expedite the works on priority and asked the engineering officials to study the feasibility of extension of the existing flyover up to Aramgarh. He also visited Barkas playground and instructed the officials to develop the ground for taking up sports activities to the children of the Old city. Janardhan Reddy inspected the progress of the construction of GHMC’s South Zone office in Barkas .

The Commissioner also visited GurramCheruvu at Balapur and directed the officials for proper cleaning of the lake as part of preparation for Ganesh immersion. Later, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner of Police Mahender Reddy, along with the officials of GHMC inspected the Ganesh immersion procession route covering several localities in the Old city.

The Commissioner of police directed the officials to take steps for free flow of traffic and to make elaborate arrangements such as drinking water facilities, proper street lighting, barricading, providing of CC TV Cameras and deploying Ganesh Action Teams for the smooth conduct of the procession.
