Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Thursday laid foundation stone for the construction of 6,000 double bed room houses for weaker sections in Rampally of Keesra mandal in Medchal district.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was the only leader in the country who thought of providing dignified living to poor people. He said that the government was constructing one lakh houses for poor in the GHMC limits alone. He said that the cost of construction of each unit would be Rs. 8 lakh while its market value after construction would be around Rs. 30 lakh.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, MP Malla Reddy, MLA Sudheer Reddy and other dignitaries were also present.
