One more working president for TPCC soon
All India Congress Committee (AICC) has decided to appoint one more working president for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) has decided to appoint one more working president for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).
TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy told the media here on Wednesday that one more general secretary, two secretaries and an official spokespersons would also be appointed.
According to sources, the TPCC was planning to rope in veteran film star and political leader Vijayashanti and former Indian cricket captain Azharuddin actively in the party. The duo has been staying away from active politics ever since they lost the elections in 2014.
It is learnt that Vijayashanti and Azharuddin would be given responsibility of party campaign. Congress leaders said that the TPCC would be rejigged by November this year.
In an informal meeting with media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy hinted that the Telangana Congress Committee would be reshuffled soon. He said that all section of leaders would be accommodated in the new TPCC to ensure social justice in the party.
He said senior most leaders in the party would get AICC posts soon. However, he did not divulge the details of the prospective candidates to be promoted.
