Salaries for the contract and outsourced employees of SarvaShiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and also for those working in other Centrally sponsored schemes in the State have been enhanced.

Hyderabad: Salaries for the contract and outsourced employees of SarvaShiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and also for those working in other Centrally sponsored schemes in the State have been enhanced.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari took a decision on Thursday in this regard. The decision would benefit about 11,839 employees working on contract and outsourced basis in SarvaShiksha Abhiyan and Kasturba Gandhi BalikaVidyalayas (KGBVS).

Honorarium for many as 2,690 part- time instructors of SSAhas been enhanced from Rs6,000 to Rs 9,000. For cluster Resource Persons, salary has been hiked from Rs 11,400 to Rs 15,000,for coordinators from Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000; for data entry operators from Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,000, for messengers from Rs 8,000 to Rs 8,500; for system analysts from Rs 15,000 to Rs 16,500, for senior programme technical consultants from Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000, for consultants from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000, for data processing officers from Rs 16,500 to Rs 17,500 and for drivers from Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000.

As far as KGBV staff is concerned, the salary of 391 special officers has been hiked from Rs 21,000 to Rs 25,000; for 2,737 cluster resource persons from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000; for 381 accountants from Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,000; for 391 ANMs from Rs 9000 to Rs 11,000; for 391 PETs from Rs 11,000 to Rs 12,000; and for 782 vocational instructors from Rs 5000 to Rs 6000.

The Chief Minister has sanctioned 1,133 posts to the 81 junior colleges which have been established in 2008 and this would do away with the teaching by contract employees for the past nine years.

The Chief Minister sanctioned 69 junior lecturer posts for the 15 Urdu medium Government Junior Colleges which have been running under self finance scheme. The self finance scheme has been casting a burden on the students. The salaries of the part time junior lecturers of the government junior colleges have been enhanced by the government.
