The Southwest monsoon was normal in Rayalaseema, because of which heavy rain occurred at isolated places in the region, the Met department bulletin said.
Hyderabad: Rainfall occurred at a few places in Rayalaseema and at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday. The Southwest monsoon was normal in Rayalaseema, because of which heavy rain occurred at isolated places in the region, the Met department bulletin said.
The monsoon was weak in the coastal districts as also in Telangana. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Chinna Chintakunta (Mahbubnagar) 2, Sirpur, Alampur, Jurala Project 1 each.
The forecast for Telangana said there would be light to moderate rain/thundershowers at isolated places from September 2 to 5. No large change during the subsequent three days is the weather outlook.
