Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka here on Saturday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of trying to “disturb peace” in rural areas by constituting Rythu Samakhya Samithis.

Speaking to the media along with Congress Kisan Kheth State President M Kodanda Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan, Bhatti Vikramarka said the Chief Minister was spreading falsehood and making “fake promises.” KCR, they said, had changed the design of projects like Devadula, Pranahitha and Kanthanapally on Godavari river and thus undermined them.
The TPCC leader said the poor had enshrined late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s memory in their hearts for launching welfare programmes.

He said as much as 50 lakh acres would have come under irrigation had the projects designed by YSR completed. Not a single promise made in the TRS manifesto was implemented. Bhatti Vikramarka denied that he had difference with the TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

“We are working in coordination with each other. There is no question of difference with the TPCC President,” he said. He dismissed the reports that a section of Congress leaders joining the BJP as speculative.
