Hyderabad: The contract and outsourcing employees of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan of the State would boycott the duties on Monday protesting the unscientific pay revision by the State government. The president of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) contract and outsourcing staff B Sridhar Reddy said that the JAC took a decision to protest the government’s decision on pay revision.

He said that the contract and outsourcing staff working in the SSA for 18 years have been demanding hike in wages. However, the decision of the government to revise the salaries has not done justice to the employees. The government did not bother to implement its own order to hike the salaries by 50 per cent. The State government raised the salaries of the contract lecturers on par with the regular employees recently. Though the Centre accepted the proposal to increase the salary of coordinators from Rs 13,000 to Rs 17,000, but the State government increased the salary up to Rs 15,000 only, he added.
