6000 Ganesh idols to be immersed at Tank Bund today

On the occasion of Ganesh immersion today, a Shobha Yatra has begun from Balapur to Tankbund in Hyderabad with Khairatabad Ganesh already being placed on a special vehicle around 4.30 AM on Tuesday.

Around 12,000 CC Cameras have been installed all across enroute to Tankbund take the pictures of the entire immersion process with devotees in large numbers swarming the place. Traffic restrictions have been imposed till 6 AM tomorrow.
Till now, 51 cranes have been installed to carry out the immersion process of the Ganesh idols while 27 cranes alone have been placed at the Hussain Sagar. 25,000 police personnel have been deployed. Over 6000 idols are expected to be immersed at Tank Bund today.
