Devotees bid farewell to Khairatabad Ganesh

A specially designed crane has been brought from Malaysia for the immersion programme today. In order to prevent any untoward incidents, police and the GHMC officials have made elaborate security arrangments.
To ease the traffic congestion, the immersion programme has begun with the immersion of 57-foot-tall idol of Khairtabad Ganesh for the first time.
Thousands of idols from various parts of Hyderabad and outskirts are being carried for immersion in Hussain Sagar, marking the culmination of the 11-day festivities.
