K Ram Chandra Murthy has taken over as the new NTPC Regional Executive Director (South) at Secunderabad on Monday. Prior to joining at the southern region’s headquarters, KRC Murthy was Executive Director for three large power plants of Singrauli (2000 MW), Rihand (3000 MW) and Vindhyachal (4,760 MW), which is NTPC’s largest super thermal power station.

Hyderabad: K Ram Chandra Murthy has taken over as the new NTPC Regional Executive Director (South) at Secunderabad on Monday. Prior to joining at the southern region’s headquarters, KRC Murthy was Executive Director for three large power plants of Singrauli (2000 MW), Rihand (3000 MW) and Vindhyachal (4,760 MW), which is NTPC’s largest super thermal power station.

A mechanical engineer from Ravishankar University, Raipur, had joined NTPC in 1980 as a trainee executive engineer. He held several important positions in a career spanning over three-and-a-half decades and worked at various NTPC stations such as Badarpur, Auraiya, NOIDA, Durgapur, Talcher Thermal, Singrauli, Rihand, and Vindhyachal.

Murthy participated in the Advanced Leadership Development Programme at Wharton in USA and also took part in training programmes at several premier institutes in India and abroad.
