GHMC deploys 10k workers to clear festivals waste

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has deployed 10,000 workers from Sanitation, Entomology and other wings for transportation of garbage waste and waste produce from animals and also generated in the Ganesh procession.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has deployed 10,000 workers from Sanitation, Entomology and other wings for transportation of garbage waste and waste produce from animals and also generated in the Ganesh procession.
The workers have been deployed for 3 shifts on 24x7 basis. Nearly 4,041 Metric Tonnes of waste generated during Bakrid festival and 2,069 MTs of garbage during Ganesh immersion procession has been lifted till today, the GHMC said.
