After 11 day rituals, the Ganesh Immersion programme has come to an end peacefully on Wednesday morning.

With the officials deciding to complete immersion of idols within 24 hours, the remaining idols immersion will be completed by the evening. People from all over the city and neighbouring districts in large numbers thronged Tank Bund to participate in Shobha Yatra and watch the procession of Ganesh idols.
Police and GHMC officlas made elaborate arrangments in view of unwarranted incidents with around 24,000 police personnel deployed to provide security for Ganesh immersion.
Roads leading to NTR Marg and Tank Bund are packed with devotees and trucks carrying Ganesh idols.
