Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Friday said that the Congress party was unable to digest the measures being implemented by the TRS Government for the welfare of farmers in Telangana State.

Addressing a press conference, along with Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, MLC Karne Prabhakar and others, at the TRS Legislature Party office here, Harish Rao said that the Congress leaders were yet to recover from the shock of losing 2014 elections.

They are still mourning their defeat in last elections and also trying to involve farmers in the same. He said farmers of Telangana were extreme happy with the performance of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao's government which the Congress leaders are not willing to acknowledge.

Harish Rao said the TRS Govt schemes have boosted the confidence level of farmers. He listed out various schemes being implemented by the TRS Govt for farmers' welfare. Criticising TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, the minister said that the previous Congress regime had ignored the welfare of farmers for 10 years and Uttam had no moral right to speak anything on TRS Govt.
