Telangana Town takes up patriotic initiative

In a patriotic initiative, a town in Karimnagar district comes to a standstill everyday to National Anthem.

The town, Jammikunta has people singing the National Anthem everyday at 8 AM and saluting the Tricolour.

Initiated by the Jammikunta police on August 15, the residents of the town have welcomed it and have made it a part of their everyday life. The National Anthem is played across the town with 16 loudspeakers deployed at major junctions. Sharp at 8 AM, everyone stops by to pay their tribute to the National Anthem.

The police stated that the practice was taken into motion as the younger generation are far from realizing the importance of it and in order to instill patriotism, the National Anthem is being played out every day.
