Congress leader roughed up for throwing poop on neighbour’s house

Jadcharla: In what could be called as an act of vengeance, industrialist and Congress party leader Ramchandra Reddy was beaten up on Saturday night after he was caught allegedly throwing a cover containing human excreta on the house of his neighbour, Jayalakshmi. He was tied to a tree and assaulted before being handed over to the local police.

It is said that Reddy, a former president of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS), had been eyeing the property of Jayalakshmi. With his clout, he has been terrifying Jayalakshmi and her family members by carrying out such atrocious and bizarre acts for the past several months. The scared family members of Jayalakshmi, who had tried to identify the persons resorting to such cheap acts could not catch anybody red-handedly.

However, on Saturday night, the alert family members finally caught Reddy while he was throwing a cover containing poop on the Jayalakshmi’s house. Angered by his act, they tied Reddy to a tree and beat him black and blue. However, much to the disbelief of locals, he was found moving in a car on Sunday morning as if nothing had happened. Jayalakshmi’s family alleged that the Congress leader had been subjecting them to pressure tactics with an ulterior motive of purchasing their house.

When they had expressed a firm resolve not to sell the house, Reddy resorted to such deplorable acts of throwing covers containing poop on the house. When The Hans India contacted the Congress leader for clarification, he maintained that he was unaware of such incident and said “you can write whatever you want”. Meanwhile, he lodged a complaint of attempt to murder against the family members of Jayalakshmi.
