Hyderabad: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday praised the Telangana government for starting several welfare schemes worth emulating.Sushil Modi, who is on an official visit to the State, studied various government schemes such as KCR Kits, crop investment,
Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, double-bedroom houses, modern police stations and services to the people in other sectors. In the State capital, he made a visit to the Panjagutta Model Police Station and appreciated the facilities there besides stating that several welfare schemes had to be followed across the nation.
“All the programmes are people-centric and it is a great idea to offer Rs 8,000 per acre for two crops which will be of great help to the farmers, who are in distress,” he maintained. Sushil Modi made a visit to villages adopted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao including Erravalli and Narsannapet and visited two-bedroom houses constructed free of cost for the poor. The Bihar Deputy Chief Minister also made a visit to Mission Bhagiratha pumphouse at Komatibanda in Gajwel that was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The State government’s plans were big for the welfare of farmers, poor and other classes, he said. “We will certainly replicate crop investment and modern police services in Bihar State,” he said. Sushil Modi expressed satisfaction over the completion of pipelines works, water tanks and simultaneous steps for providing broadband internet services to every household in villages.
The Bihar Minister was surprised to know that K Chandrasekhar Rao has reiterated he would not seek votes in 2019 elections if he had failed to keep the promise of providing safe waters to the people.
He said he also came to know about Mission Kakatiya programme, which was giving best results as the lakes and reservoirs in villages were filled to their capacity, giving boost to minor irrigation and increase agriculture production.
