Married woman commits suicide, family allege murder

A young married woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze in Hyderabad on Monday.

The woman, Harika, a native of Kusumanchi in Khammam district recently obtained admission in BDS at Kamineni Medical College. She married her paternal cousin Rushi Kumar two years back and stayed at Rock Town Colony in Nagole.

Harika's family alleged that she was burnt to death by her husband. The family members said that Rushi might have developed a grudge over his wife getting admitted in BDS while he had been idle without a job.

The police has taken Rushi Kumar into custody and are investigating.
