Secunderabad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), South Central Railway, celebrated its 33rd Raising Day at a colourful function organised at RPF Training Centre, Moula Ali, on Thursday. The Raising Day is celebrated to commemorate the conferring of Armed Force status on Railway Protection Force on par with the other paramilitary forces in the country. John Thomas, Additional General Manager, SCR, who was the chief guest, received the Guard of Honour and inspected the Parade.

As part of these celebrations, a colourful parade was presented by the 05 Platoons of RPF/RPSF, 01-Dog Squad and Band Team of RPF. The parade was commanded by D K Ratnam, Chief Drill Inspector, Training Centre, Moula Ali. John Thomas, in his address, lauded the courage, determination and commitment displayed by RPF in carrying out their day-to-day duties and also mentioned the yeomen services rendered by them in providing security to the passengers.

Sanjay Sankrityayan, Chief Security Commissioner, RPF, South Central Railway and other officials witnessed the parade. Earlier, Mahim Swami, IG-Director/RPF Training Centre, Moula Ali welcomed the dignitaries and guests on the occasion.
