Telangana CS asks officials to expedite MPLAD works

Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Secretary S.P. Singh has directed the District Collectors to expedite the works recommended by local MPs under MPLAD scheme.

The Chief Secretary issued these directions while addressing the meeting of MPLADS State Level Monitoring Committee at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The meeting was also attended by MPs Bandaru Dattatreya, Dr. K. Keshav Rao, Jithender Reddy, G Sukhender Reddy, K. Vishveshwar Reddy, Dr. Lakshmikanth Rao and Malla Reddy. Senior officials including Special Secretary (Planning) B.P. Acharya, R&B Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, Special Secretary (Panchayat Raj) Vikas Raj and Municipal Administration Secretary Naveen Mittal also attended the meeting.

The Chief Secretary asked the officials to execute the works as per the advise of local MPs. He said a video-conference with all District Collectors would be held to ensure timely completion of works under MPLADS. He said seperate meeting would be held to review the works in GHMC limits while District Collectors would be asked to review MPLADS works once in every three months.
