With the southwest monsoon turning normal over Telangana, isolated heavy rains occurred at many places in Khammam and Nalgonda districts during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood now lies over the Andhra coast.

Hyderabad: With the southwest monsoon turning normal over Telangana, isolated heavy rains occurred at many places in Khammam and Nalgonda districts during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood now lies over the Andhra coast.

The Met department bulletin said heavy rains also occurred in Warangal and Ranga Reddy districts, with Burgampad and Pinapaka (both in Khammam district) and Nalgonda recording 7 cm of rainfall each. Thunderstorms occurred at several places in all districts of the State. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Mahabubabad (Warangal), Miryalaguda (Nalgonda), Mulakalapalle, Bayyaram, Khammam Urban (all in Khammam), Govindaraopet (Warangal).
