According to the Singareni MD N Sridhar, the coal production during the same month last year was 40.24 lakh tonnes. This year till September, the coal production was increased by 13 per cent taking it to 45.44 lakh tonnes.
The company transported 41.05 lakh tonnes during 2016 during September month and this year it could transport 46.99 lakh tonnes with a growth rate of 14.5 per cent.
Sridhar said that till now, during a period of six months, the company had transported 299.46 lakh tonnes of coal, which is 12.7 per cent higher than the previous year, which was at 265.77 lakh tonnes.
Out of the 11 areas in Singareni, 5 areas are marching ahead by achieving the targets 100 per cent. The areas include Manuguru, Ramagundam-1, Ramagundam-2, Bhoopalapally and Bellampally. He said the Singareni Thermal Power Plant at Jaipur near Mancherial produced 810.76 million units and connected 762.92 million units of power to power grid in Gajwel. By connecting this to grid, the plant had achieved 93.84 per cent plant load factor (PLF).
The MD congratulated the staff for this achievement. The Unit-II of the Singareni Thermal Power Plant generated 412 MUs of power and achieved 95.38 PLF. The Unit-I also generated 398.72 MUs and achieved 92.3 per cent PLF. Till September this year, 4,613 MUs of power was generated and provided 4,325.48 MUs to the state needs. During the last six months, 87.53 per cent PLF was achieved.
