Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials were instructed to construct storm water drains and arrange for alternative methods to rein in overflowing of water from the water bodies of KBR National Park.  

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials were instructed to construct storm water drains and arrange for alternative methods to rein in overflowing of water from the water bodies of KBR National Park.

Following the incident of water overflowing, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Thursday visited the park. He inspected the ponds that were filled to the brim due to recent rains and which overflowed on roads adjacent to the park causing inconveniences to the commuters.

The KBR Park is spread over 366 acres having 20 small water bodies. Commissioner instructed the engineering staff to find alternative ways to improve the existing system for rain water flow.
