Telangana Congress leaders on Saturday unanimously passed a resolution authorising All India Congress Committee (AICC) to decide on the party posts including that of TPCC President.

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leaders on Saturday unanimously passed a resolution authorising All India Congress Committee (AICC) to decide on the party posts including that of TPCC President.

The resolution was passed in the TPCC Extended Executive meeting held in Indira Bhavan in the premises of party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan today. The meeting was chaired by party's Returning Officer Deepa Das Munshi. Addressing the meeting, she praised TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy for the perfectness and transparency with which he executed membership drive and appointed Booth Level members across the Telangana State. She also congratulated the entire TPCC team for their active participation in the party's election process. Stating that Congress has a strong organisational structure in Telangana, she hoped that the party was ready to face and win next elections.

TPCC Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi appreciated the initiatives taken by Uttam Kumar Reddy and also congratulated the newly appointed PCC members. He then asked former minister Danam Nagender to move the resolution authorising AICC President Sonia Gandhi to decide the posts of TPCC President and AICC members from Telangana.

The resolution was supported by former Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, MLA Sampath Kumar, TPCC Vice-President Ponnam Prabhakar, TPCC spokesperson Mahesh Kumar Goud, Medak DCC President Sunita Lakshma Reddy, Nizamabad DCC President Taher Bin Hamdan, SC cell chairman Arypalli Mohan, ex-Union Minister Balram Naik and others.
