Hyderabad: Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) said that the Post Graduate Category – B seats in the engineering, architecture, pharmacy and planning colleges should be filled with the candidates who got 50 per cent of marks (with relaxation to reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

Issuing the guidelines for filling of PG seats, ME, M.TECH, M.PHARMACY and Pharm-D(PB), under Category – B the Council said that the candidate should be an Indian national and should have rank card in TS PGECET – 2017; should have passed the appropriate qualifying examination i.e., B.Tech / A.M.I.E./ B.Pharmacy/ B.Arch/ B.Planning/ M.Sc./M.C.A or equivalent examination; should secure 50 per cent marks (45 per cent in the case of reserved categories) and they should have secured rank in GATE score or TSPGECET-2017 or a rank at the Common Entrance Test.

According to the guidelines, NRI seats shall be filled with candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 50 per cent of marks in aggregate or cumulative grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10. The vacant seats, if any, may be filled with eligible candidates.

It further said the managements of the colleges shall notify the details of courses offered with intakes, schedule of admissions, cost of application form and minority/ non-minority, status. Blank application forms for admission in ‘B’ category seats shall be made available to the candidates from the college counter on payment of the prescribed fee.

The college authorities shall enter the day wise sale of applications with the name of the candidates and address, shall issue an acknowledgment / receipt for the applications received, shall prepare the merit list of eligible applicants for each course and specialisation and announce the same by displaying both on the website and notice board of the college for at least two weeks from the date of announcement.

Allotment of candidates for admission into each course and specialisation shall be based on merit only.

The guidelines also said the managements shall pay verification and processing fee as fixed by the competent authority and submit proposals separately on the admissions made by the convener, CET-AC Admissions, and spot admissions made by the college, management quota admissions made by the college.

The last date for submitting of admission lists under management quota is October 21 and processing fee to be paid per candidate is Rs 500.
