Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary S.P. Singh directed the District Collectors to ensure special supervision of development works being carried out in villages adopted by Members of Parliaments under Sansad Adarsh Grameen Yojna Scheme.

Chairing the meeting of State-level committee at the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Secretary asked the District Collectors to depute senior officials to ensure timely completion of works. He also wanted department-wise list of works being undertaken in Adarsh Villages. He informed that a total of 1094 projects were sanctioned in 22 villages in the first phase. Of them, 431 projects have been completed while works on 216 projects are ongoing. Works on remaining 447 projects are yet to take off. He asked the Collectors to write to MPs seeking details of projects they wish to undertake under second and third phase of the programme.

Special Secretaries Ajay Mishra (Energy) and B.R. Meena (Revenue) and Principal Secretaries Rajat Kumar (Forest) and Vikas Raj (Panchayat Raj) and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
