Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit strongly condemned the ignorance of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over civic issues.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the floor leader G Kishan Reddy said the roads in the city had gone from bad to worse and have become a source of nuisance to the people. He said the Chief Minister had made tall promises that his government would convert Hyderabad into a global city as the earlier government had ignored the development.

He also condemned the inability of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in providing basic facilities to the people to lead a dignified life, which he said was due to inexperienced Ministers in the TRS. The roads continue to exist in a bad shape and the common people are suffering a lot due to that.

He also claimed that 50 per cent of the city continues to live in darkness as electricity has not reached some areas. He challenged that the TRS government cannot pick up a road which does not have any pot holes and added that the quality of road repairing is highly poor.

Kishan Reddy also expressed concern over the water logging in slum areas which can actually be the source of an outbreak of epidemic in the city.
