The Task Force on Tuesday apprehended seven persons at Gymkhana Ground, Secunderabad who were selling Cricket Match tickets in ‘black’ of Paytm T20 Trophy, which will be played between India Vs Australia in City on October 13.

Hyderabad: The Task Force on Tuesday apprehended seven persons at Gymkhana Ground, Secunderabad who were selling Cricket Match tickets in ‘black’ of Paytm T20 Trophy, which will be played between India Vs Australia in City on October 13.

According to police, on credible information the Task Force team rushed to Gymkhana Ground at Secunderabad and found some persons were selling tickets of Cricket match to gain easy money. The accused were identified as Sai Naveen Kumar, Narendra Yadav, Md Saddam, Dev Kumar, Mohd Riyaz, P Praveen and Mohd Afroz, most of them are students.

On enquiry they revealed that they were selling tickets of Rs 1,000 for Rs 2,500 to 3,000 depending on the buyer’s desperation. Upon settling the price, the accused handed over the tickets to the prospects. The police seized 24 Cricket Match Tickets, Rs 24,810 and 7 cell phones from their possession. The accused were handed over to Begumpet police for further necessary action.
