GHMC to clear out water from waterlogged areas

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is currently dealing with a lot of waterlogged areas in the city due to the continuous downpour of rains.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is currently dealing with a lot of waterlogged areas in the city due to the continuous downpour of rains.
Following the increase in the number of complaints, GHMC is planning to clear the stagnant water from thirteen critical waterlogged areas for which the estimated cost would be Rs 61 crore.
Due to the 13 cm rainfall in Hyderabad, narrow drains and pipelines have been filled with plastic bags hindering the flow of water. The officials are identifying the causes of water stagnation and taking up temporary as well as permanent measures.
