Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is all set to launch the KV sub-station at Suryapet on Thursday, thus rolling out the 24×7 power supply scheme shortly.

The 24×7 power supply to agriculture in the state will however, commence in February next year during the Rabi season.

The 24×7 power supply scheme is already being implemented by the TS Transco and affiliated power distribution companies in Medak, Karimnagar and Nalgonda districts.

The 400/220/132 KV sub-station is a part of power supply network which is being developed at a cost of Rs 12,610 crore across Telangana to accommodate 24x7 power supply for agriculture. The companies are also planning to increase power generation to meet future requirements.
