Hyderabad: The Telangana Tourism Department on Friday opened Octopus View Point at Amrabad Tiger Reserve in a bid to highlight eco-tourism activities in the State.

According to a press release issued here, the view of the backwaters of Krishna River looks like an Octopus. The site is located approximately 5 km before Domalpenta (42 km from Mannanur on Hyderabad-Srisailam highway).

The view point provides a picturesque sight of Krishna and the adjoining forests. Amrabad Tiger Reserve Field Director M C Pargaien along with the field staff inaugurated the eco-tourist site on Friday and said a strategic location as this point would attract more visitors and nature lovers.

The Field Director requested that the tourists should take care of cleanliness and serenity of adjoining forests. Visitor benches, Pagoda and parking places have been provided for visitors.

Further one watch tower and a forest trail are also under development to enhance recreational opportunities for public, according to the press release.
