The Yatra which was to be kick-started by Prof Kodandaram was foiled by the police who took the TJAC district president Akula Satish and 20 others into custody.
Strongly condemning the arrests, Kodandaram said that he would bring the issue to the notice of the Home Minister.
Mentioning that the TJAC had sought permission for holding the campaign but the police waited till the last minute, he called the arrests undemocratic and informed that he would defy the prohibitory orders and participate in the yatra.
