Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy shot off a letter to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao about the ongoing corruption in the State. In his letter, he alleged that K Chandrashekar Rao was preaching politics to fill up his vote bank and not for the betterment of the people and that he keeps talking about the development of people, employees, the jobless and farmers but, does nothing to promote their interests.

He said at a press conference the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had made a statement that, “Whoever talks about corruption should be beaten up with slippers in the State.” Reddy further raised questions and said now that K Chandrashekar Rao had been changing the Polavaram designs, suggesting reengineering of designs and revised estimates, which gives scope for corruption, who should be beaten up with slippers here?

He also mentioned that he along with his party had given representation on the above cited subject with evidence but, not a single representation has been answered. He said that if required he would come to Pragathi Bhavan to discuss the same and to find a permanent solution, only if K Chandrashekar Rao permits.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government had also hurt the sentiments of the people of the State by distributing low cost sarees on the eve of Bathukamma and if the Chief Minister gives permission he would bring out the culprits involved in the scam in front of the government.

Due to the heavy rainfall, there had been subsequent damage caused to the farmers in the State. It is on the advice of the Chief Minister that the farmers had sown cotton instead of maize and now that they are in distress is the duty of the Chief Minister to address their problem. He requested that the Chief Minster personally visit the sites or send his teams to assess the conditions and send the report to the Central Ministry.
