Man attempts suicide in Vemulawada Police station

A man attempted suicide at Vemulawada Police station today as he consumed pesticide shocking the police personnels and his family.

The man, identified as Jhakir had come to the police station for family counselling. However, during the same, he went out and consumed pesticide.

He was immediately rushed to a local government hospital and later was shifted to Yellareddypet private hospital for better treatment.

While Jhakir is in a stable condition now, it is learnt that the reason behind him taking the extreme step is that he felt insulted after his in-laws lodged a complaint with the police.
