The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) extended its support to the economically backward students of JNTUH College of Engineering in Jagtial under Tata Affirmative Action Programme (TAAP). The initiative is aimed at ensuring an equal footing for socially and economically disadvantaged sections.



Jagtial/Sircilla: The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) extended its support to the economically backward students of JNTUH College of Engineering in Jagtial under Tata Affirmative Action Programme (TAAP). The initiative is aimed at ensuring an equal footing for socially and economically disadvantaged sections.
The TCS vice-president and Global Head-Technology Business Unit V Rajanna and the college principal N V Ramana on Saturday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard.

Rajanna said as part of the programme, 80 students will get a chance to improve their employability, by sharpening their business communication skills, quantitative aptitude and data interpretation, soft skills and programming skills. Students will be trained for a duration of three semesters, starting from third year first semester. In fact, the TCS is running this programme at Jagtial college since 2013.
JNTUH Vice-Chancellor A Venu Gopal Reddy, Registrar Prof N Yadaiah, Vice Principal Prof S Viswanadha Raju, Training and Placement Officer Prof B Sateesh Kumar and TCS Academic Relationship Manager J Chandrasekhar were among others present. Earlier, Rajanna offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada.
