Residents claimed that 60 houses, out of the 400 JNNURM houses, are lying vacant. Residents complain that the houses are in dilapidated condition. They pointed out that poor drainage and sewer system have added to their woes.

Two days ago, the motor was repaired with our money. ”When it rains we won’t have power for next two days," says Rajee, a 32 year old resident in the area.

Residents also claimed that they are victims of snake bites, mosquito menace and poor public transport. E Venu, a resident of PBI Kalimandir area said, “Since the houses are located at outskirts of the city, several residents have suffered snake bites and street lights have been dysfunctional since a week which has been posing a threat".
