Driving on East Marredpally Road proves risky
The East Marredpally road leading towards AOC centre lies in pathetic condition for the past 10 years. The road is flooded with drainage water after heavy rains and though the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) does repair work, it takes a few days for the road to return to normal conditions.

The drain water flows from Shony nursing home till St Mark School, the area comes under the GHMC zone but, beyond that is Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB). M Satyanarayana, the owner of a general store in the area said, “The situation is the same for the past ten years. When it rains the water enters the shop but, I cannot blame anyone and we are fed up of informing the officials again and again.”
He said motorist keep skidding in the area and on an average five minor accidents occur every day. N Kiran, the owner of a sweet shop said, “Totally there are three sweet shops in this area but how can people eat in this untidy condition.” It is affecting my business, he added.
Repeated attempts to contact the officer concerned failed.
