One killed in fire mishap at private hospital in Warangal
Fire broke out at a private hospital in Warangal late on Monday evening killing a 45-year-old patient.
Fire broke out at a private hospital in Warangal late on Monday evening killing a 45-year-old patient.
The police informed that over 400 people including 190 patients were rescued in the incident.
According to the reports due to a short circuit, an oxygen cylinder exploded and smoke engulfed the four-storied hospital resulting in minor flames. Police stated that the flames were immediately extinguished.
The patients were shifted to different hospitals in Warangal but a 45-year-old patient died after being shifted to another hospital as his condition got critical due to the suffocation in view of the smoke in the building.
Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari visited the hospital and supervised the rescue operation. He has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
