Hyderabad: TRS leaders on Sunday urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to take action against the Congress leader D Sridhar Babu for conspiring to fix TRS leader in Ganja case. Addressing a press conference along with MLC Bhanu Prasad, Gangadhar Goud, Peddapally MP B Suman said the audio tapes had clearly proved that the Congress leader was trying to implicate the TRS leader in Ganja case.

The Congress leaders had foisted many false cases on the TRS leaders during the Telangana agitation, alleged Suman. “The audio tapes have once again proved how cheap the mentality of Sridhar Babu is, though he claimed to have come from a great family. He should apologise for stooping to cheap politics,” said Suman. He urged the Chief Minister to take severe action against Sridhar Babu and ensure that gimmicks of the Congress leaders were put to an end.

Replying to a question, Suman said the people were not taking Revanth Reddy into consideration and the TRS party was not giving a serious thought to him. “Can a thief like Revanth Reddy save Congress party which claims to have 100 year of history. We will not have any problem even if he joins Congress or any other party,” said Suman. People are angry over the TDP leader for his role in the “cash for vote” case, he added.
