Hyderabad woman attacked with sickle in public, man arrested

A woman was attacked with a sickle in Hyderabad on Monday evening. Following an argument, the woman, Sravanthi was attacked by her friend Ravi Kumar.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital.

The incident took place at Erragadda when the woman abused the man and even hit with a slipper after the argument.

Enraged by this, the man snatched the sickle from the nearby coconut vendor and attacked her.

While the accused tried to escape after the attack, he was nabbed by the locals and handed over to the police. Ravi Kumar was later produced before a court and was sent to judicial custody.
