Anantapur TDP leader asks Revanth Reddy to come clean on his associations with other party leaders before making allegations

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader and MLC Payyavula Keshav on Monday strongly objected to TDP Telangana unit working President A Revanth Reddy’s accusations against him.

In a strong reaction to Revanth’s allegations that Keshav received favours from the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the Andhra TDP leader asked the Telangana leader to first come clean on his business and political associations with other party leaders in the two Telugu States before accusing him. Revanth accused that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government granted licence to a brewery industry jointly owned by Keshav and Andhra Pradesh Minister P Sunitha’s son P Sriram.

Revanth had once registered a company in partnership with TRS MP and K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter Kavitha. However, the TDP leader backed out of the joint venture after mounting pressure and other reasons, Keshav said.

Keshav also disclosed that Revanth for some time considered the option of joining YSR Congress Party and leading Jagan’s party in Telangana. “It was an open secret that Jagan's media always praised Revanth Reddy because at a time he seriously considered the option of joining YSRCP,” he said.

The TDP leader even wore YSRCP scarfs during campaign for Singareni polls. Revanth always looks at other parties for political benefits, he said. Payyavula opined that Revanth should not pass remarks against him as he was associated with TDP since his foray into politics and worked like a TDP soldier.

Payyavula Keshav said that he stood for Revanth and his family when he was sent to jail in connection with cash for vote scam. He was shocked that the Telangana leader made such scathing allegations against him and said, “Personal agendas are more important for him than party's welfare and ethics.

” The Anantapur leader also clarified that he did not have any business dealings with either Paritala Sunitha's family or Telangana government. His nephew had started a microbrewery with partners and that he was not involved in that business.

The TDP leader also claimed that he possessed complete details of Revanth’s Delhi trips and his secret meetings with Congress high command in the last six months.

He would make them public after consulting TDP Chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The MLC said that both Revanth and he reached this stage with the support of Chandrababu and that the chief encouraged the Telangana leader more than him.
