Hyderabad: TDP national Committee President N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday cleared the decks for stripping A Revanth Reddy of his posts which Telangana party unit Working President and TDLP floor leader
In a quick response to party President L Ramana’s request in this regard, Naidu, who is on foreign visit, asked the party leader to relieve Revanth from the posts with immediate effect.
Ramana also made it clear that Revanth did not have any authority to hold TDLP meeting and was asked the leader to attend the legislative party meeting as a legislator on Thursday. Party leaders said that the party would elect new TDLP leader after the meeting.
The TDP Telangana unit took serious note of Revanth’s anti- party activities, including the wild allegations made against AP TDP leaders recently. Ramana spoke to Naidu on phone and explained the political developments that took place in the party in Telangana State.
Ramana already instructed his party leaders to maintain restraint amid strong speculations that several TDP leaders would go along with Revanth soon. The leaders were also warned not to venture into making controversial statements against party high command.
