Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to give responsibilities to the newly-appointed executive committee members in its first meeting to be held on Thursday.

According to sources, the Chief Minister will hold two separate meetings with the party leaders including the state executive committee members between 2 pm and 3 pm and with the Legislature Party from 3 pm onwards. This is the first meeting of the state executive committee after it was formed on October 9.

According to sources, the general secretaries and the secretaries will be given responsibilities of the Assembly constituencies. When the committees were formed, it was told that 40 members of the 67-member committee would be given the responsibility of three Assembly constituencies each for effective functioning of the party.

It is likely that the leaders would be given the list of constituencies on Thursday. 12 general secretaries would be given the task of supervising 10 constituencies each. Remaining general secretaries would be given the responsibilities of party office management, party wings, taking up training programmes etc.

In the TRSLP meeting scheduled at 3 pm, the Chief Minister would give necessary instructions on how to use the House for giving a report card to the people. It is also learnt that the TRS is planning to give a strong message to the Centre and is likely to pass some resolutions. Sources said that the TRS was wary that the Centre was trying to bring petroleum products under GST and it is said that the House would pass a resolution urging it not to take away major source of revenue.

Similarly, the NITI Ayog, which had recommended including the law and order in concurrent list, which again would be opposed in the form of resolution, said sources. There would be a resolution on the reservations also. The TRS has proposed reservations to Muslims and tribals in the State and it would be sent to the Centre in the form of a resolution from the House, added sources.

The State government would also urge Centre to fulfill the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act like bifurcation of the High Court, setting up of Central institutions like AIIMS and others. The Chief Minister, during the Singareni elections, indicated that the State would not hesitate to wage a war with the Centre if it does not give its due share.

The Chief Minister is likely to brief about the subjects to be discussed during the session. Sources said about 15 to 20 issues would be taken up for discussion in the Assembly. The TRS chief wants members, particularly the ministers, to be ready to answer the Opposition by taking up short discussions.
