Former Minister and senior Congress leader D Sridhar Babu has filed a petition in the High Court at Hyderabad seeking quashing of the criminal case registered against him in Chikkadpally police station.

Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior Congress leader D Sridhar Babu has filed a petition in the High Court at Hyderabad seeking quashing of the criminal case registered against him in Chikkadpally police station.

He charged the TRS government of trying to implicate him in the criminal case. He sought an interim direction to stay further investigation into the case forthwith. The former Minister arraigned Telangana State government and TRS president of Muttharam Mandal in Peddapalli district P Kishan Reddy as respondents.

He stated in the affidavit that there is a conspiracy behind Kishan Reddy’s politically motivated complaint and named Chief Minister’s daughter and MP Kavita as the person behind the conspiracy as she was holding a grudge against him for her detention earlier during installation of Komaram Bheem statue in Mahamuttam village.

He sought quashing of the case and in the interim stay of all further investigation into the case.
